Sailor Scouts

This was an insane amount of fun to do....I had been obsessed with Sailor Moon when I was younger--it was what first inspired me to draw and has been a part of my drawing style ever since. =]

So this is a drawing of my friends and I as Sailor Scouts...

Sailor Jupiter - Stephanie: This chica is tough. She is a bad-ass, she protects her friends, and she doesn't take any crap. But at the same time, she loves to cook and can be super friendly and nice.

Sailor Mercury - Me: I love to swim, and I'm the nerd of the group xD

Sailor Moon - Jess: She's lovable but also kinda ditzy, enthusiastic, and outgoing - a natural leader of her friends.

Sailor Mars - Jenny: She is fiery and classy, the one with her eye on the future. She's definitely going places.

Sailor Venus - Kristalyn: She is the one with the most experience in love, she's blonde and proud, and she's gorgeous and popular.

Sailor Uranus - Krissy: Yet another tough cookie, this girl will defend her friends. She's girly, not butch, however, and absolutely hilarious.

Sailor Pluto - Monica: She's the most exotic and cultured of us, and also the one I see the most, since she goes to school in Boston.

Sailor Chibi Moon - Sarah: My youngest sister, she is athletic, popular, smart, and loud haha. She's more of Kristalyn's mini-me, but she's like a mini Jess too :]

Sailor Neptune - Amy L: She's not so much with the swimming, but she's the musical one of the group - she plays the clarinet and did so for years.

Sailor Saturn - Amy W: My other younger sister, she can definitely fill her roll as the scout of death some mornings (Not a morning person ahaha) and at times she can be best friends with Sarah [aka Chibi Moon]




So yes, all the colors and cute outfits were really really really fun to do...I started this pic during finals week so I've been working on it for like two whole weeks. I was thinking about putting in a background but for now I'm leaving it as is...I like it with the white, it makes the figures look bolder and brighter, in my opinion. =]
